Forum For Development Studies is a multidisciplinary, international journal that aims to be a comprehensive platform covering all areas of development research. Particular emphasis is placed on an interdisciplinary approach to research, which sees dialogue and collaboration between different disciplines as essential for a comprehensive understanding of complex development issues. As a result, journals prioritize articles that cross disciplinary boundaries, avoid overly technical terminology, and present and explore issues in a way that is easy for the entire journal reader community to understand.

The core objective of the journal is to promote scholarly discussion of in-depth understanding of development issues, and it encourages scholars from different disciplines to submit their research results to advance the search for multi-perspective analysis and solutions to development challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, political science, economics, law, sociology, geography, philosophy, ecology, history, etc. in the social sciences, as well as economics, history, and law studies that intersect with these fields.
